Introduction:

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is currently looking for a Director of IT Security to join our team in Raleigh-Durham, NC. The Director of IT Security will be responsible for oversight of all matters surrounding Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions' IT Security infrastructure, including strategy implementation, risk management, people development and relationship management.

Responsibilities of the Director of IT Security:

Strategy:

  • Support IT security roadmap, architectural principles, standards, policies and solution governance
  • Participate as member or chair for IT Governance areas
  • Drive a shift towards standardization of security policies and configurations
  • Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery
  • Ensure that all systems have continuity plan in place and processes and procedures are available in a disaster situation
  • Manage the overall Business Continuity Planning / Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) testing process and report results to the business and senior IT management
  • Work with the development, service introduction and testing teams to produce the BCP/DR operational acceptance criteria
  • Liaise with infrastructure architects and service owners to ensure internal business continuity procedures are implemented and are aligned with expectations
  • Complete operational risk assessments and escalate key issues (where necessary)
  • Audit the day-to-day service continuity provision to ensure it is fit for purpose

Risk Management:
  • Implement / maintain policies, standards and procedures to ensure demonstrable regulatory and legal control
  • Control and manage assurance monitoring and tracking, including the retention of adequate records
  • Schedule risk and compliance audits, review the outcomes audit process; Direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution
  • Develop, implement and maintain risk register: contribute results to corporate dashboard
  • Establish application and infrastructure security control mechanisms

Technical Security:
  • Enforce security policies and procedures across infrastructure.
  • Ensure efficient user and access management as per access profile
  • Ensure auditing of security policies and procedures
  • Identify, investigate and report on suspected breaches and review findings with key stakeholders
  • Coordinate crisis management with relevant stakeholders
  • Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues and decisions for all Security related matters

People Development:
  • Measure and manage IT workforce to foster a culture that strives to maximize the balance between operational efficiency and customer focus
  • Work with Human Resources & Administration to ensure IT staffing, training, and people development needs are being met
  • Evaluate performance and competency development of resources assigned to your projects with regular and effective performance feedback
  • Work with direct reports to create career development plans by identifying and documenting appropriate career and skill development goals, milestones, and measures
  • Encourage feedback from team members, department leads, and team members. Utilize such feedback for self-improvement

Leadership:
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments, leading practices and trends in IT Security standards and solutions
  • Identify and act upon ways to improve IT work processes, enhance quality, productivity and service
  • Demonstrate a willingness to challenge existing practices and act as a change agent by sponsoring continuous improvement initiatives
  • Design programs to ensure appropriate performance measures related to service and costs are developed and implemented

Relationship Management:
  • Work with outsourced IT resources to understand customer requirements and encourage compliance with bi-directional accountabilities (established in SLAs)
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the TTERC IT and Corporate IT Leadership to share best practices and implement consistent designs across TTEC companies
  • Analyze customer needs through soliciting, evaluating and acting upon customer feedback
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to deliver seamless service to external customers

Required Skills & Qualifications of the Director of IT Security:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a senior management IT role
  • 4+ years of experience in information security domain
  • Experience overseeing large IT security projects, assessments and audits
  • Experience enforcing security procedures at operational technical level
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. Sarbanes Oxley, Solvency II)
  • Strong knowledge of risk areas including regulatory, operational, information, technology risk and industry specific legal constraints
  • Strong knowledge of application, database and infrastructure security
  • Specialized skills in business continuity / disaster recovery planning and problem resolution
  • Familiarity with report writing tools and basic database structures for advanced queries and ad hoc reports

Preferred Skills & Qualifications of the Director of IT Security:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • Project Management Certification
  • ITIL v3 Certification
