CHEC Software Engineer II / L3 Support

Introduction:

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our development team in Research Triangle Park, NC.  As an L3 technical support engineer you will be the final escalation point who will be responsible for resolving complicated and difficult field issues.  You will work closely with both L2 and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve trouble tickets. You will gain a deep understanding of our Self-Checkout solution which is deployed in major US and European retailers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Read associated extracts to determine the point of failure
  • Troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve customer defects
  • Functional verification as needed.
  • Implement minor product enhancements
  • Ability to be available 24 X 7 as needed to resolve store down escalations

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 years experience in Software development
  • At least 3 years experience in Object-oriented programming (C++) - PRIMARY SKILL
  • At least  2 years experience in Object-oriented programming (Java)
  • User Interface technology
  • Relational Database Experience (SQL)
  • XML
  • The candidate needs strong programming and analytical skills, problem determination and debugging, attention to detail, team work and excellent communication skills.
